Located not far from Baku, the site offers visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand the natural phenomena behind Azerbaijan\u2019s reputation as the \u201cLand of Fire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Visitors can observe the natural flames along the hillside and enjoy the particularly impressive atmosphere of the site in the evening. The flames can sometimes reach several metres in height, creating a striking landscape after dark.<\/p>\n<p>The Yanar Dag State Historical-Cultural and Natural Reserve features facilities for visitors, including a museum complex, observation points and an amphitheatre. The surrounding area also includes other points of interest, such as sulphurous springs, a mud volcano, an ancient burial mound and remains of historical trenches.<\/p>\n<p>Yanar Dag is particularly appealing to visitors interested in natural phenomena, photography and Azerbaijan\u2019s ancient fire culture.
