It was established in 1967, becoming the first museum in the world focused specifically on carpets and textile art.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"317\" data-end=\"676\">The museum is famous for its distinctive building, designed in the shape of a rolled carpet, which was completed in 2014 and has become a modern architectural landmark in Baku. Its collection includes over 10,000 items, with carpets from different historical periods and regions of Azerbaijan, each reflecting unique weaving schools, patterns, and techniques.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"1020\">In addition to carpets, the museum also preserves examples of traditional clothing, embroidery, metalwork, ceramics, and jewelry, offering a wider perspective on Azerbaijani decorative arts.
