Philharmonic Hall

The Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev is one of the leading music venues in Baku, known for both its elegant architecture and rich концерт program.

The building was constructed between 1910 and 1912 as a public assembly hall. In 1937, it was named after Muslim Magomayev, after which it became an important center for the development and promotion of classical and traditional music in Azerbaijan.

Following a major renovation that began in 1996, the Philharmonic reopened on January 27, 2004. The ceremony was attended by Ilham Aliyev, Polad Bulbuloghlu, renowned cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, and pianist Farhad Badalbeyli.

The main concert hall seats 330 guests, with an additional 140 seats in the balcony and 120 in the amphitheater. A spacious foyer is also available, suitable for receptions and gatherings.

Today, the Philharmonic remains a key cultural venue, hosting concerts, festivals, and major musical events.
